Dr. Saxena is a distinguished physician leader with over 20 years of experience in clinical practice, medical education, and healthcare administration. Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics, he has consistently demonstrated a commitment to improving healthcare delivery through innovation, collaboration, and strategic leadership.
He earned his medical degree from MGM Medical College in India, followed by residency and fellowship training at Baystate Medical Center – Tufts University School of Medicine. He also holds a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Massachusetts, concentrating in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Recognized early for his vision and drive, Dr. Saxena quickly advanced to executive leadership positions, including Medical Director at several long-term-care facilities.
In his role as Medical Director, Dr. Saxena leads interdisciplinary teams to drive clinical excellence, implement quality-improvement initiatives, and develop system-wide strategies that enhance patient outcomes. His leadership has resulted in measurable gains in physician efficiency, patient safety, and key population-health metrics. His contributions have been acknowledged through numerous awards, including the prestigious ‘Peer-to-Peer Excellence in Medicine’ honor by a leading physician organization.
Beyond his institutional roles, Dr. Saxena actively serves as a counselor and committee chair for major physician societies in New York, engaging in the legislative process on healthcare policies affecting physicians.
